LOUERS vodka wins DOUBLE GOLD at the San Francisco World Spirits Competitions (SFWSC).
LOUERS vodka was awarded DOUBLE GOLD at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) this week. According to Forbes (2023), the SFWSC is regarded as the most competitive and respected blind-tasting competition within the international beverage industry. LOUERS vodka secures its second major award after winning the ‘Master Medal’ at the Global Spirits Masters, a blind-tasting competition hosted by the magazine giant The Spirits Business, at the end of 2023. They claimed a score of 95/100. Thanks to this recognition, LOUERS vodka is included in the 'Top Shelf 2024', representing the highest-rated spirits of the SFWSC.
Established in 2000, the SFWSC is also the oldest of its kind. Its medal winners range from some of the most renowned international distilleries to small producers who have been put on the map by the competition. In 2022, the competition solidified its position as the world's largest blind-tasting for spirits with nearly 5,000 entries. This year, there were a record 5,500 entries, with approximately 300 in the vodka category.
With a second major award under its belt, LOUERS vodka's quality can no longer be overlooked. What makes LOUERS vodka's ultra-premium vodka so special is the craftsmanship combined with Dutch ingredients. All ingredients come from Dutch soil and are crafted by Dutch artisans. The vodka is a result of a combination of hyper-filtered spring water and alcohol fermented from selected Dutch wheat. Additionally, the patented LOUERS bottle is manually assembled and bottled.
Despite receiving much criticism for its eccentric design - the bottle is covered in spikes, finished with a silver chrome coating, and features built-in LED lighting - retailers and clubs were eagerly lining up for the product upon its launch. LOUERS vodka now has a distribution network in over 40 countries (including China and India) and supplies to more than 400 retail points.
The impact of recognition at the SFWSC is evident from the examples of previous winners. For instance, Bullet Bourbon saw a 400% increase in sales, Hendrick’s Gin achieved a 500% sales growth, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka saw its sales rise from 10,000 to 11,500,000 cases per year (Forbes, n.d.).
